Room conditions and load
Start with equipment, rack space, power, cooling, access and expansion plans. IT load, UPS requirements and heat removal are connected, so coordinate with electrical and cooling owners. Calling a room a data center does not by itself establish a redundancy or certification level.
Integration scope
Scope can include racks, patch panels, backbones, switches, UPS, environmental sensors, access and monitoring. Plan cable routes, port names and service access together. Identify civil work, main power, cooling and other protection separately where different parties are responsible.
Functional checks and records
Define test methods, interruption limits, alarms, notifications and recovery against the design. Records can include rack layouts, interface diagrams, inventory and test results. UPS runtime or expansion capacity must follow the actual configuration and agreed verification.
What to share
Share the Jakarta location, available room, equipment groups, current problems and growth plans. Send sensitive photographs or layouts through an agreed project channel. Establish live-room work windows and change approval before implementation.
Questions before requesting service
Can server racks be reorganized without building a new room?
The work can be assessed after reviewing ports, equipment, cabling and power. Scope may cover cable grouping, patching, naming and labeling. Live equipment is not moved or unplugged casually; the work window and recovery plan require prior approval.
Does server-room integration include a complete data center build?
No. Racks, cabling, networking, UPS and sensors are separated from civil works, main power, cooling and protection systems. Server-room integration is not a claim of large-scale data center construction or a particular Tier certification.
What information supports a rack or server-room quotation?
Provide room dimensions, rack count, equipment groups, port needs, power loads, current problems and expansion plans. UPS runtime and future capacity depend on actual configuration rather than a standard promise. Live-system work requires the operator’s approval.
